Supporting student wellbeing

Student wellbeing has become one of the most critical aspects of school life, and schools need robust, easy-to-use tools to monitor and support their students effectively. ePraise's wellbeing features provide a comprehensive solution that helps schools be proactive rather than reactive when it comes to student mental health and safety.

Our wellbeing toolkit includes regular check-ins to monitor student emotional state, class passes to track student movements and identify concerning patterns, and a secure reporting system that allows students to raise concerns confidentially. These tools work together to create a complete picture of student wellbeing across your school, enabling early intervention and better support for those who need it most.

All wellbeing features are designed with privacy and safeguarding in mind, ensuring that sensitive information is handled appropriately while still providing school leaders with the insights they need to make informed decisions about student support.

Check-ins - proactive wellbeing monitoring

Our check-ins feature allows students and staff to regularly report on their emotional wellbeing, helping schools identify those who may need additional support. Users rate their wellbeing on a simple 1-5 scale and indicate their main concerns from categories including classwork, homework, family matters, social issues, and more.

School leaders gain access to powerful analytics that help identify trends across individuals, year groups, and the whole school. This data-driven approach enables early intervention and helps schools allocate support resources more effectively. Check-ins can be completed on any device, making it easy for everyone to participate in your school's wellbeing monitoring programme.

The system can be configured for daily or weekly check-ins depending on your school's needs.

Class passes - monitoring student movement

Class passes provide schools with a structured way to track when students leave the classroom, helping identify concerning patterns while ensuring legitimate needs are met. Teachers can issue predefined passes with preset expiry times for common reasons such as visiting the medical room, toilet breaks, or attending scheduled activities.

The system automatically tracks pass usage and provides detailed analytics to help school leaders spot students who may be struggling or using passes inappropriately. Mobile supervision tools allow staff to check which students should be in corridors while on the move, making monitoring more efficient and effective.

Comprehensive reporting helps identify trends that may indicate underlying wellbeing issues, such as frequent medical room visits or excessive toilet breaks that could signal anxiety or other concerns requiring support.

Report a concern - secure incident reporting

Our report a concern feature provides students with a safe, confidential way to report issues they're experiencing, whether related to bullying, mental health, safeguarding concerns, or other problems affecting their wellbeing. The system is designed to lower barriers to reporting while ensuring appropriate oversight and response.

When reports are submitted, they can be assigned to appropriate staff members who receive automatic email notifications. The system maintains detailed case histories including status changes, assignments, and notes, making it easy to track how issues are being addressed over time.

Available on both web and mobile platforms, the reporting system ensures students can reach out for help in whatever way feels most comfortable to them. School leaders benefit from overview analytics that help identify emerging patterns or systemic issues requiring attention.

Integrated wellbeing approach

All wellbeing features work together as part of ePraise's integrated platform, allowing schools to see connections between different aspects of student experience. A student showing declining check-in scores, increased class pass usage, and concerning reports can be quickly identified and supported through targeted interventions.

The system integrates with our existing behaviour management and communication tools, ensuring that wellbeing support becomes part of the holistic approach to student development rather than a separate system. This integration helps prevent issues from falling through the cracks and ensures continuity of care.
