Recent updates - May 2025

Following the launch of Class Passes and Check-ins earlier this year, we've continued to add further improvements to these fantastic wellbeing tools. We've also made significant improvements to our mobile apps including customizable push notifications and improved charts.

Class Pass Enhancements

Available now

First launched earlier this year, Class Passes allow schools to log when students are given permission to leave the classroom for various reasons, such as visiting the toilet, medical room, or attending a scheduled group activity that requires them to be outside the classroom. This provides a structured way to keep an eye out for students misusing the system, or students who may need some more support.

Since introducing Class Passes in February, we've made several significant enhancements to make the feature even more powerful and user-friendly.

We've added a mobile view for Class Passes, allowing teachers to easily check which students should and should not be in the corridors while on the move. This makes corridor monitoring much more efficient and helps schools ensure that only students with valid passes are out of their classrooms.

We've also added a comprehensive profile view, so staff can quickly see a student's Class Pass history. This provides valuable insights into patterns of classroom exits that might need addressing.

Finally, the overview page has been enhanced with more detailed analytics to help school leaders better understand Class Pass usage across the entire school.

Check-in Enhancements

Available now

Also launched earlier this year, Check-ins help schools understand the wellbeing of both students and staff. Users rate their wellbeing on a scale of 1–5 and indicate what's worrying them most at the moment – whether it's classwork, homework, family matters, or other concerns. This data helps build a comprehensive picture of wellbeing trends across the school, allowing leaders to identify issues proactively and take appropriate action when necessary.

We've continued to add several improvements to our check-ins functionality, including more detailed overviews and detailed student insights.

We've also enhanced our Check-ins feature with an exciting new addition: points for completing check-ins! This provides a simple yet effective way to incentivise students to regularly complete their wellbeing check-ins.

Mobile App Improvements

Available now

We've made several significant improvements to our mobile applications for both Android and iOS:

  • Push notification preferences are now available in both mobile apps, giving you complete control over which notifications you receive. You can customise whether you want to receive alerts for messages, behaviour incidents, or other important updates.
  • We've updated and improved many of the charts and graphs in the mobile apps to align more closely with the web version, providing a more consistent and visually appealing experience.
  • We've also added more details to the intervention details view, so you can now see whether students attended an intervention from the mobile apps.

Other notable improvements

Available now

As always, we've been working on many smaller improvements to enhance your experience:

  • We've added links to various places on the student view contacts page to make it easier to navigate between views.
  • We've improved the student merge feature to merge more information.
  • We've increased the student limit for activity attendance.
  • We've updated the activities list and details page to always show an end time where relevant.
  • We've added the option to exclude 0-value demerits from the behaviour sync for schools using Wonde.
  • We've improved the navigation experience when editing points and demerits from the overview.
  • We've added the ability for schools to sync multiple email formats with their MIS/SIS.
  • We've added the ability for parents to view photographs of their own children.
  • We've added a warning to site settings to help highlight issues when schools select show data and spend from dates.
  • We've improved the student photos view in interventions.

Email notification redesign

Coming soon

We're excited to announce that we're completely redesigning our email notifications to make them more visually appealing, more informative, and more accessible. The new designs will feature a cleaner layout, more information to help users prioritise their notifications, and improved readability.

This redesign will affect all system-generated emails, including message notifications, incident report notifications, weekly bulletins, parents' evening invites and more. Keep an eye out for these refreshed notifications in your inbox soon!
