Veracross integration improvements

We've made several significant additions to our Veracross integration since our last update, providing even deeper connectivity between the two platforms.

Student houses and photos are now automatically synced from Veracross into ePraise, ensuring ePraise stays aligned with your student information system without any manual intervention. Note that to enable photos, you will need to update your Veracross API scopes and then update your site settings to turn the feature on.

Behaviour writeback is also now live. Points and demerits can now be automatically written back into Veracross, allowing staff to record in either platform depending on the school's requirements, whilst ensuring Veracross has a complete set of basic behaviour data. There are a few steps you'll need to follow to enable this, so please refer to our documentation for guidance.

Push notifications for points, demerits and homework

We're working on expanded push notification support for our mobile apps, which has been one of the most frequently requested features from students and parents.

Students and parents will be able to opt in to receive daily homework reminders, helping prompt them to check their planner before homework becomes due. We'll also be introducing notifications for points and demerits — these will be opt-in by default, giving students and their parents control over the notifications that matter most to them.

We'll share more details as we get closer to launch.
